Taliah Phillips of Springfield, a recent graduate of Springfield Southeast High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for the fall 2018 term.
At Springfield Southeast High School, Phillips participated in track and field and cross-country.
“I’m choosing UIS because it’s a good environment for me,” she said.
“UIS is the place where I feel like I can find myself and become independent and achieve my goals.”
Phillips plans to major in chemistry with a pre-med track and hopes to pursue a career as a nurse upon graduation.
