Kassidy Miller of Havana admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield

Kassidy Miller of Havana, a senior at Havana High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2019 classes. She plans to major in biology with a focus in pre-medicine at UIS.

At Havana High, she a member of the softball, volleyball, flags and dance teams. She’s also a Student Council and Rotary Club officer, a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Girls H Club, Eco Club, Science Club and the National Honor Society.

“I chose UIS because it has a good medical program and it is close to home,” she said. “It feels welcoming and cozy.”

Following graduation, she would like to further her education and one day become an orthopedic physician or physician assistant.
