Aaliyah Adams of Chicago admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield

Aaliyah Adams of Chicago, a senior at Hyde Park Career Academy High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2019 classes. She plans to major in pre-nursing.

At Hyde Park, she is senior vice president, manager of the football team, part of the one goal group and plans on playing softball.

“I want to attend UIS because when I visited for the first time I felt very comfortable with the people and campus. Everyone was very friendly and nice,” she said.

After she graduates from college, she plans to find a nursing job and go back to school and study chemistry pre-med.

The University of Illinois Springfield is proud to be one of three universities in the world-class University of Illinois System.
