Jalee Braner of Springfield admitted to UIS

Jalee Braner of Springfield, a senior at Lanphier High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for the fall 2017 term.

At Lanphier High School, Braner is involved in cross country, track, choir, the Spirit Club and National Honor Society.

“I am choosing UIS because the professors are really excited about their students’ education and the campus has a family feel,” she said.

Following graduation from UIS, Braner would like to teach in the Springfield District 186 school system. At this moment, she has not chosen a major.

The University of Illinois Springfield is proud to be one of three universities in the world-class University of Illinois System.
