Malone Smith of Chicago admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield

Malone Smith of Chicago, a senior at Harlan Community Academy High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2019 classes. He plans to major in information systems security at UIS.

At Harlan Community Academy High School, he is a member of the track and field team. He is also a member of the advanced drawing and painting and the robotics programs.

“I choice UIS because it’s affordable, is academically qualified for my major and I’ve heard good things about this school,” he said.

Following graduation from UIS, he’d like to work for Northrop Grumman.
